For the Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) setup, Hyundai pairs the Tucson’s turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor, and the arrangement generates a lively 261 horsepower. Accompanying the hybrid engine is a six-speed automatic transmission that provides prompt shifting when you need it, and the SUV can rise to merging speed or launch from a greenlight with ease. The Tucson PHEV’s battery also supports an electric-only driving mode with an impressive range, allowing you to charge the vehicle at home and run errands in town without relying on gas for those quick excursions. The vehicle’s all-wheel drive lets you hit the road with confidence, and the vehicle also offers a Snow mode for managing any winter travels you might have planned. When fully equipped for towing, the Tucson Plug-In Hybrid can pull up to 2,000 pounds.
Chill Out with the Multi-Air Mode
If you need to cool down but don’t want the feeling of air blasting on you from the vents, you can take advantage of the new Multi-Air Mode. This unique climate control development softly diffuses the air flow through the dashboard’s main vents as well as smaller openings, gently dispersing the streams of air around the interior instead of forcing out concentrated jets directly onto you and your passengers.
