Hyundai Cares About Your Safety!

2020 Hyundai Santa Fe

2020 Hyundai Santa FeAs years go by, our lives constantly become more integrated with technology. Sure, not every aspect of that integration is for the best. However, as a whole, technological advances have improved our quality and convenience of life. A rise in technology has also gifted us new ways to be entertained and consume content, as well as communicate. But there is something else it’s done and it may be the most important aspect of its ever-reaching benefits. Technology has made us safer and Hyundai has embraced it.

Feel Safe

Today’s automobiles are safer than they ever have been, largely due to technological advances and smarter applications. Let’s take a look at what Hyundai is now implementing in their vehicles to keep drivers safer.

Hyundai’s main safety package is called SmartSense and it carries a lot of features with it. A simplified way to describe what SmartSense does is to say that it scans the road for potential dangers and alerts passengers when necessary. This plays out in a myriad of ways including Lane-Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. These are essentially the same technologies that are governing self-driving cars, Hyundai just uses them to assist their drivers instead of replacing them.

Although, Hyundai SmartSense is only one aspect of the tech-infused safety features deployed in the current lineup of vehicles. Also available inside new Hyundai models are:

  • Blind-Spot Collision Warning
  • Surround-View Monitor
  • Safe Exit Assist

Some of the items are designed for safety, but also to provide convenience and make driving a Hyundai even more enjoyable. The most obvious example of this is the rearview monitor for backing up but coupled with this is Hyundai’s Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist. However, it doesn’t end there. Did you watch the Super Bowl LIV? Did you watch the commercials? Well if you did, you likely remember Hyundai’s commercial that showcased the Remote Smart Park Assist, or “Smaht Pahk” as vocalized by Chris Evans, John Krasinski, Rachel Dratch, and David Ortiz. If you haven’t seen the commercial you need to, it’s a must-watch. It will also further demonstrate Hyundai’s commitment to safety and convenience.
