On April 28, animal lovers and camera enthusiasts will embark on a wildlife photo safari at the San Antonio Wildlife Ranch! The photo experts at The Camera Exchange, Inc. will be your guides into the world of nature photography, so whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just interested in learning the basics, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to see some amazing wildlife.
When and Where
The safari will take place at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch on Sunday, April 28. It will begin at noon and run until 3 p.m. The ranch is located at 26515 Natural Bridge Caverns Road, San Antonio, Texas 78266. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
The Safari
After a quick briefing on how the equipment works, you and your fellow photographers will hop aboard a safari tour truck and set off into the picturesque environs of the San Antonio Wildlife Ranch. The ranch is home to a variety of photogenic animals originally native to Africa, Asia, and other locales around the world. On your excursion, you may encounter fleecy camels (both Dromedary and Bactrian), Zebras, strutting ostriches, and stripe-tailed lemurs among other creatures.
Snap Like the Pros
If you don’t have your own professional-grade camera, don’t worry! You’ll have access to equipment like high-quality cameras and telephoto lenses on the safari. The Camera Exchange will bring specialized gear like the 70-200mm f/2.8, a go-to lenses for capturing the action in sports, social events, and of course, nature. They’ll also have some 150-600mm lenses, providing a far-reaching zoom to photograph the most illusive creatures. Before you embark on your excursion, you’ll receive a one-hour photography lesson from the experts.
