What It Is
Named one of USA Today’s 10 Best Safari Parks in the United States for 2019, National Bridge Wildlife Ranch is an exciting wildlife encounter that’s fun and educational for the whole family. Spanning 450 acres of rolling hills cut through with meandering creeks and dotted with live oaks, the park is home to more than 500 animals from 40 exotic, native, and endangered animal species from across the globe.
What to Do
Once at the park, you’ll enjoy a full day of excitement and amazement. Here’s what’s available for you to enjoy:
- The Drive-Thru – A safari ride in your own vehicle, you’ll have a different experience every time you ride through. The path covers miles of habitat and it takes between and hour and an hour and a half to complete one trek through.
- The Walk-A-Bout – Stretch your legs as you get up close and personal with giraffes, lemurs, free-roaming peacocks, and other stunning creatures.
- The Petting Barnyard – Perfect for kids of all ages, this hands-on encounter with gentle African Pygmy Goats will delight everyone in your group.
- The Safari Camp Grill and The Safari Sweet Spot – Tame your hunger with a hearty meal and a sweet treat at these on-site establishments.
Admission Information
The Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch is open 362 days a year – all but Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Check the website for hours, which change seasonally. General admission prices are $24.50 for adults, $22 for Seniors, and $15.50 for children ages 3 to 11. Annual passes are also available, and there are discounts on certain weekdays and for military personnel.
The park is located at 26515 Natural Bridge Caverns Road, San Antonio, TX 78266. Exit #175 off IH 35 between San Antonio and New Braunfels, then head 7 miles west.
